Forehead Lift
A forehead lift restores a person's face, giving a more youthful and refreshed appearance in the region above the eyes. The muscles and tissue are removed or altered to smooth out your forehead skin and minimize frown lines as well as raise the eyebrows.

Reasons To Consider
  1. You want to minimize the visible effects of aging on your face.
  2. You want to correct drooping brows.
  3. You want to improve the horizontal lines and furrows on your forehead.
There are two types of forehead lift procedures, the "classic" and the "endoscopic."

The classic method consists of a coronal incision which follows along your scalp in a headphone pattern, starting from one ear and going to the other. The forehead skin is then carefully lifted so the tissue can be removed and the muscles can be altered or released. Excess skin is then trimmed and the incision is closed with stitches.

The endoscopic forehead lift uses the same preparation steps as the classic method, but instead of one long incision, the surgeon will make several smaller ones. An endoscope, which is a tiny camera device, is inserted through one of the incisions, allowing the surgeon to have a clear view of the muscles and tissue.

RECOVERING FROM THIS SURGERY

Although you should be up and about in a day or two, it's recommended that you avoid any strenuous activity for the first week. You will be able to shower and shampoo your hair a few days after the surgery, and should be back to work or school in 10 days. There will be some numbness and discomfort around the incisions following surgery, but this can be dramatically lessened with medication. Most visible signs of surgery will fade completely in three weeks.
